Cathy and Anoop had a Sikh ceremony at Castaways and an evening reception at the downtown Marriott. Anoop rode an gorgeous elephant named Tai for his Baraat (entrance of the groom), and I could be wrong, but she seemed to remember me from a wedding I did back in July. Elephants can be rented from Have Trunk Will Travel. You can read about the elephant’s personalities and their favorite foods — as well as Have Trunk Will Travel’s conservation efforts — on their web site. During my recent visit to India, I had the chance to ride an elephant and feed bananas to at least 10 of them. They are truly the most beautiful, amazing animals.
