Destination Wedding Photographer – Greetings from the Emerald Isle

Hello from beautiful Ireland, where I’ve flown to shoot the wedding of Vik and David. I have a few days to myself before all the shooting begins, so I’ve rented a car and am just driving around the little villages in the area (Bunratty, Quin, Adare, etc.), seeing where the road takes me. There are Bed & Breakfasts seemingly everywhere, so it’s been fun not to have a plan for a few days, and to just find a place to lay my head when I find somewhere that looks like a good place to visit.

I’m writing from deep in the Ring of Kerry . . . about midway through, actually . . . from the small town of Caherciveen, where a small Bed & Breakfast provided a welcome break from the road. It’s so breathtakingly green and beautiful here, with gorgeous bodies of water, soft rain and friendly people everywhere you turn. I suspect that everyone here is so friendly because they get to look at such beautiful surroundings each and every day.

I’ll shoot this cute couple’s wedding at Knappogue Castle near Ennis and Quin. Hope you’re all having a wonderful week, and I look forward catching this blog up on at least 15 weddings, and a bunch of new published work, sometime soon. 🙂

Aaaaah!!! So jealous!!! I want to go to Ireland!!! Enjoy your stay there, although I guess you’d be back by now. Sigh. I want to go. Can’t wait to see the AWESOME pictures!

Thanks, Jamie and Shawna. 🙂 Just back from Ireland and of course have a bad case of jet lag, meaning that I woke up at 5 a.m. and am now trying to catch up on emails. The wedding was great, and the rain mercifully held off just long enough for the ceremony. I heart Ireland, but am happy to be back home. Thanks for the nice notes. Dina
