This three-part blog entry features a wedding, and a reception that was featured in Ceremony Magazine, and a tabletop decor shoot that was featured in South Asian Bride magazine.
Sangya & Shawn – The London Hotel
What could be more elegant than a rooftop reception with yellow, black and white florals, with aerial performances over the pool? It all happened at the London Hotel which proved to be a lovely place for Sangya and Shawn’s celebration. The aerial performers were just the bomb, and guests were absolutely dazzled by the aerial teams artistry. This beautiful reception was coordinated by David Yusef at Pacific Hills, with floral artistry by Alex and the team at Square Root Designs. Sangya and Shawn’s reception will run in the 2011 Los Angeles edition of Ceremony Magazine, which should be out soon.
Savita & Jay – Laguna Cliffs Marriott
Savita and Jay were married in a traditional South Indian wedding ceremony at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. Since this couple lives in New York, they hired Pink Rock Events to ensure that they day went off flawlessly, and Pink Rock did not disappoint. Savita and Jay are both a lot of fun, and they literally sprinted during their grand entrance. After the requisite toasts and speeches, the talented Jay sang a surprise love song for Savita, which everybody loved. With coordination by the lovely Pinaki and Raakhi at Pink Rock Events, florals by Manjit at Flowers by Manjit, DJ artistry by Raj at Sound Nation, and video by Robles Video.
Tabletop Decor Shoot for South Asian Bride Magazine
I love doing tabletop shoots for magazines, as they are a great way to show brides some wonderful decor ideas. South Asian Bride Magazine runs tabletop shoots in every issue, and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing several gorgeous tabletops created by coordinators in and around Los Angeles. I’ll share more in the coming days, but for now, behold this gorgeous red and orange tabletop.
