The event started out with a tiki-themed mendhi and sangeet on the lower lawn. Hulu girls greeted guests with flower leis, and guests enjoyed multiple performances by Polynesian dancers. The always creative Sonia Sharma handled design and coordination, using vintage surfboards and mini grass huts to pull together the first night&#8217;s event theme.\u00a0The second day was filled with private prayer ceremonies for each family, which served as a prelude to the opulent wedding and reception the next day. I always love working with Tai the Elephant (from <a title=\"Tai the Elephant\" href=\"http:\/\/www.havetrunkwilltravel.com\" target=\"_blank\">Have Trunk Will Travel<\/a>), and she once again shared her sweet personality at this wedding&#8217;s baraat (or entrance of the groom). The wedding decor itself was a stunning explosion of red, which popped beautifully against the beautiful Grand Lawn. (The Monarch Beach Resort was formerly known as the St. Regis.)<\/p>\n<p>A live band provided music during the cocktail party, which took place on the Pacific Lawn. I thought the turquoise-covered tables provided a beautiful jolt of color against the Pacific Lawn. The reception took place in the Pacific Ballroom, which Sonia and Dahlia at Capri Flowers decked out in silvers, lavenders and purples. Guests thrilled to a series of incredible Brazilian dance performances, and later enjoyed hand-rolled cigars on the patio adjacent to the ballroom.\u00a0With coordination by <a title=\"Sonia Sharma Events\" href=\"http:\/\/www.soniaevents.com\" target=\"_blank\">Sonia Sharma Events<\/a>, florals by <a title=\"Capri Flowers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.capriflowerweddings.com\" target=\"_blank\">Capri Flowers<\/a>, videography by <a title=\"Impressive Creations Videography\" href=\"http:\/\/www.impressivecreations.com\" target=\"_blank\">Impressive Creations<\/a>, lighting by <a title=\"Amber Event Production Amber Lighting\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ambereventproductions.com\" target=\"_blank\">Amber Event Productions<\/a>, Brazilian dance performances by <a title=\"Hot Pepper Brazilian Dancers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hotpep.com\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Pepper Entertainment<\/a>, DJ artistry by <a title=\"Sound Nation DJ\" href=\"http:\/\/www.soundnationla.com\" target=\"_blank\">Sound Nation<\/a>, and hair and makeup by <a title=\"Oscar Naranjo Makeup\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oscarmakeup.com\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar Naranjo<\/a>. This wedding was featured in the Fall edition of <a title=\"South Asian Bride Magazine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.southasianbridemagazine.com\" target=\"_blank\">South Asian Bride
