Being a good conference photographer means pairing experience and stamina with an understanding what a client needs, as shown in this photo of VP candidate Tim Walz giving the keynote presentation at the Esri User Conference at the San Diego Convention Center in 2024. Tim Walz is a highly energetic speaker who infused his presentation to more than 20,000 conference attendees with a high dose of humor. His ability to race around the stage while delivering incredibly interesting and useful information was second to none, and presented my team with the ability to solve the same kind of puzzle we often solve. Knowing how to capture a speaker's energy in a way that will be of value to multiple stakeholders with uniquely different objectives is key.
