The use of rim light is always helpful when shooting engagement photos in Los Angeles, especially when you are trying to separate darker hair from a dark background. In this photo, created at the Montage in Laguna Niguel, I used the beautiful end-of-day sun to create an warm glow behind the couple. This beautiful rim light added sparkle to a photo that the couple loved. The combination of a coral-colored dress, radiant smiles and warm lighting helped give this photo the extra sparkle that made it come alive. We ended up enlarging this image for display at the couple's wedding, and everybody loved it.
