Indian Destination Wedding Photographer Tara and Raj
Grace Ormonde published this stunning destination wedding, which took place on Lake Pichola in Udaipur, India. The wedding itself took place at the City Palace Complex, the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. The latter two locations are situated in the middle of Lake Pichola, and are only accessible by boat. In fact, the Lake Palace is notorious for not letting any non-guests visit the hotel. I was thrilled when the bride and groom were able to arrange for me to document their getting ready preparations at the Lake Palace, and even more thrilled that I had to take a boat to get there. The bride and groom did their first look at the Lake Palace, and then the groom took a boat back to the City Palace Complex for his baraat. I then took a boat to Jag Mandir to photograph decor before the ceremony. My second photographer photographed the baraat, then took a boat to Jag Mandir, where dazzling fire blowers met the groom's arrival. The bride and her family then met the groom, and the couple and their families proceeded to a ceremony location in an old palace tower high above their guests. A live feed via projection screens helped ensure that their friends and relatives didn't miss any key ceremony moments. It was actually unusually cold for Tara and Raj's wedding, so we were freezing for most of the reception. But I loved shooting this stunning destination wedding for this glamorous couple.
