South Indian Wedding Photographer St. Regis Monarch Beach
Some Indian weddings include a series of fun games involving the wedding rings. These games sometimes take place after the ceremony, but traditional South Indian ceremonies sometimes incorporate a ring game during the actual wedding. This photograph was taken at an indoor ceremony at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach. The bride and her groom placed a ring into a pot, then both tried to grab the ring. Whoever got the ring first allegedly has the upper hand in the marriage. Most ceremonies that include this game let the bride and groom do a "best two out of three" series of games. The bride usually wins, which is either a testament to her skill at finding the ring, or a testament to the groom wanting the bride to have a fun wedding day. As the saying goes, happy wife, happy life. South Indian wedding photographed at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach, near Dana Point, California.
