Best Destination Wedding Photographer Europe
Destination wedding photography is not for the faint of heart. You have to invest a lot of time and effort scouting to find the best locations, and you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to get the best photographs so your clients will have a truly wonderful memory of their destination wedding. Shooting a wedding in Istanbul, Turkey, was a truly memorable experience for me and my second photographer. The bride was a former Miss San Juan, while the groom works for a corporation in New York. Needless to stay, I was flattered when they chose to bring us to Istanbul for their wedding. We actually spent two full days scouting the massive city of Istanbul, walking nine miles one day and nearly 11 miles another day. We did not regret one moment of this scouting time, as we were able to go to nearly every location the bride and groom suggested that we look at, and then fine-tune our day-after location list to just those sites that we thought would facilitate great photographs. This image was taken during one of two day-after sessions that we did for them. We did two sessions because there were just too many locations to try to fit into one day. We were truly grateful that our bride and groom were such good sports, and that they were willing to get dressed up a total of three times. The backdrop for this photo is a palace, and I shot this image from a low vantage point to ensure I could capture the stunning architecture towards the top of the palace.
