Black Eyed Peas Wedding Xcaret Playa Del Carmen Mexico
I was delighted to photograph George Pajon's wedding to the beautiful Naomi Medina at Xcaret in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. George is the guitarist for the Black Eyed Peas, and Naomi is a talented stylist and hair artist. Their wedding was featured on Platinum Weddings, so we worked alongside the television production crew for the five days of festivities (which included swimming with sharks, a rooftop cocktail party and a beachfront welcome party with fire dancers). The couple's ceremony took place at the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, which is perched atop the highest point on the Xcaret grounds, while their reception took place at La Isla, whose central feature is a cenote. Guests included Fergie, Josh Duhamel and Taboo, as well as all the members of the Black Eyed Peas' band and recording crew. This image was taken during the couple's day-after session. I love how the backlight illuminates the walls on either side of the stairs leading up and out of this area.
