Capturing the stillness in a moment involves patience, an understanding of light, and the ability to see the potential that a particular scene holds. This image of a stunning bride was taken during her getting ready preparations. After her veil was placed, I asked her to hold a piece of the veil away from her face. I then turned her to capture the lights on the other side of the room shining through her veil. Her face was illuminated by light shining through a window in the small door leading outside. The combination of hand position, veil and light create a sense of stillness that is both delicate and thought provoking. I consider it such an honor to be able to witness and capture moments such as this. Wedding photographed in Europe.
